PLACEMENTS
Over the past couple of years I have been able to gain work experience opportunities with several high level employers. Some standouts include Sky Sports News, ITV and TalkSPORT.
Sky Sports News - January 2025
I spent a week on placement at Sky Sports News, where I was able to work within several different departments. This included:

Producing a breaking news story that was used on-air.

Creating video material for the Transfer Show.

Interviewing Brentford Head Coach Thomas Frank at his press conference.

Shadowing coverage of the Soccer Saturday show.
ITV Sport - 2025
I have been working regular freelance shifts as a 'runner' for ITV Sport. This role involves helping out the production team, looking after the studio guests and contributing to the coordination of an outside broadcast. So far, I have attended several fixtures, including:

England Vs Republic of Ireland - Wembley Stadium.

Liverpool Vs Accrington Stanley - Anfield.

Manchester United Vs Leicester City - Old Trafford.
ITV - The Voice - 2024
In 2024 I spent five months working as an Act Runner for ITV's The Voice UK. My role included:

Escorting the acts around the studio to meet strict deadlines.

Working alongside the team to conduct interviews.

Transporting important equipment and set material.

Contributing to the coordination of an outside broadcast.

Liaising with the team throughout long and busy studio days to ensure the production process ran as smoothly as possible.

TalkSPORT - January 2025
I spent two days on work experience at TalkSPORT in London, where I was able to:

Edit and produce audio packages from the World Darts Championship Final and Premier League fixtures.

Shadow coverage of the station's various shows.
Manchester City - 2024
Early in 2024, I spent one day at Manchester City ​Football Club, shadowing and assisting the delivery of social media content across each of their platforms.

Royal Television Society speech - 2024
I was invited to be a member of the Royal Television Society's media panel and delivered a speech to about my time in the industry so far.

Royal Television Society panel - 2025
In March 2025, I hosted the Royal Television Society North West's panel about networking, where I delivered advice to students about how to make connections in the media industry.
